In order to cater banking needs of large & well spread sections of the society, we have strived to establish our outlets in all regions of the country. In this endeavor, we have established our new extension counter & an ATM at Kohalpur, Banke.
The Kohalpur counter is inaugurated by Mr. Chinta Mani Dhital, President-Kohalpur Chamber of Commerce. On the same event, our 45th ATM is inaugurated by Mr. Bhim Prashad Devkota, President-Kohalpur Town Development Committee.
Presently Everest Bank Ltd. (EBL) is rendering professionalized & efficient banking services through widest domestic network of 43 branches, 45 ATMs, 21 extension counters and many correspondents across the globe. Deriving strength from its joint-venture partner (Punjab National Bank, India), the bank has been steadily growing in its size & operation and has established itself as one of the leading private sector banks. The bank has recorded commendable performance with consistent growth in total business, net-worth and profit having one of the lowest non-performing assets.
EBL is the pioneer in introducing Branchless Banking (Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking Sewa) and Mobile Vehicle Banking Services. Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking Sewa is a unique delivery channel in banking services to facilitate rural people in banking with the help of sophisticated technology. This branchless service can be used through Point of Transaction (POT) machine by using smart cards. At present, the service is being provided by our Baglung, Bhaktapur, Nepalgunj and Birtamod branches through 29 Business Correspondents. EBL also introduced Mobile Banking (Bank on Wheel) for the first time in Nepal which is in operation since September 2007 at Birtamod. Recently, for providing value added service to customers, EBL has introduced fund transfer facility through mobile as well as payment of post-paid/PSTN/ADSL bill for Nepal Telecom subscribers.
Besides, EBL debit card has access to more than 850 ATMs of SCT network in Nepal and more than 5000 ATMs of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in India whereby EBL customers going to India need not to carry cash and can withdraw cash through EBL debit cards from ATMs of PNB.
As a part of its expansion strategy EBL plans to open new outlets at some other places of the country in near future. The bank has focused on rural area so that customer of the area can be serviced through modern banking facilities.
