Everest Bank as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has been conducting and supporting different Social Clubs and organizations working for welfare activities during this COVID 19 global pandemic.

In this backdrop, bank amid a function held at head office, Lazimpat extended financial support of Rs. 2.50 lacs to Zonta Club of Kathmandu wherein Mr. G.K Negi, CEO-Everest Bank Ltd. handover the cheque to Ms. Seema Golchha, President-ZONTA Club of Kathmandu. Zonta through its initiative help the families who are highly effected by ongoing COVID 19 crisis and distributes pushcarts to sell vegetables & fruits. Dr. Sandhir Kumar, DGM of EBL, Ms. Ava Sah, President Elected-Zonta Club of Kathmandu and officials of EBL were also present at the function.

Everest Bank has installed environment friendly crematorium at Sh. Pashupatinath Temple which helps to control pollution as the smoke is passed through wet scrubber to remove hazardous air pollutants and toxins before releasing to atmosphere.

The machine was handed over by G.K. Negi, CEO Everest Bank to Pashupati Area Development Trust in presence of Hon. Minister Sh. Yogesh Prasad Bhattarai-Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation, Dr. Pradip Dhakal-Member Secretary, PADT along with other dignitaries. EBL has always been conscious of its social responsibilities and as a part of its CSR activities, has been organizing various programs for the benefit of the people at large.

Everest Bank, under its Corporate Social Responsibility activities extended financial support to the initiative of rebuilding of Sh. Manakamana Mai Temple situated at Gorkha district. The devastating earthquake of 2072 B.S has damaged the major parts of the Temple. As the temple needed to be repaired, Sh. Manakamana Mai Temple reconstruction committee upon careful evaluation by the Department of Archaeology and other concern authorities rebuilding the temple. For this genuine, bank has support committee to rebuilt the temple.

 

As a part of its CSR initiative, Everest Bank has been carried out various activities for the benefits of people at large; especially for the deprived, marginal & under privilege sector of the society.

Everest Bank limited has handed-over its committed fund for COVID-19 (Corona) Relief Fund. The bank has provided Rs. 6 Lacs each to all seven province governments through its Regional Offices and Rs.60 Lacs to Central Government, which was handed over to Shri. Laxman Aryal, Secretary Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers by Shri. Ashutosh Sharma, AGM & other EBL representatives.

Besides the fund, bank has been supporting various organizations for fighting the ongoing pandemic. In addition to it, from the very beginning of the pandemic bank has always taken care of its customer protection during their visit in branches.

Under Corporate Social Responsibility Program, to support Visit Nepal-2020 Everest Bank Ltd. has handed over disable friendly public toilet constructed at Chhaku Bhakku, New Baneshwor (Opposite to BICC) to Kathmandu Metropolitan Office, Ward No. 10. To support the Visit Nepal-2020, Everest Bank constructed the public toilet & maintained the park adjoined to it. EBL has organized various social programs for the benefit of the people at large and has always focused on customer’s benefit & satisfaction with its theme ‘Service with Smile’.

The Disable friendly public toilet was handed over to Mr. Ram Kumar KC, Chairman KMC Ward No. 10, jointly by Dr. Ganesh Gurung, Member of EBL CSR Committee & Mr. Ashutosh Sharma, AGM of the bank in the presence bank officials and KMC Ward No. 10 team.

Under Corporate Social Responsibility Program, Everest Bank Ltd. has handed over one unit School -Van to Self-help Group for Cerebral Palsy, Nepal (SGCP) located Dhapakhel, Lalitpur. SGCP is a non-governmental and non- profit organization fully committed to helping children and adults with cerebral palsy and to providing emotional and practical support to their parents. EBL has organized various social programs for the benefit of the people at large and has always focused on customer’s benefit & satisfaction with its theme ‘Service with Smile’.

Under the Corporate Social Responsibility Program, Everest Bank Ltd. has handed over one unit of Hemodialysis machine to Manipal Hospital. The new machine will help to reduce the waiting time for kidney patients. The machine was handed over to the Dean of Manipal Hospital Mr. BM Nagpal by Mr. Rajiv Jain, DGM Everest Bank Ltd. In the presence of Col. A. Chambial SM Defence Attache, Embassy of India, and various other officials of Pension Paying Office, Pokhara and Manipal Hospital, the machine was inaugurated by lt. Gen Shantanu Dayal, AVSM, SM, VSM, DG, DC & W.

Everest Bank has installed energy efficient and eco-friendly cremation system at Swargadwari Ghat, Bhairahawa. The machine has heat recovery system and reflector to utilize waste heat and minimize cremation duration; this will save more than 250 kg of wood per cremation which will control the deforestation. The system helps control pollution as the smoke is passed through wet scrubber to remove hazardous air pollutants and toxins before releasing to atmosphere. The machine was handed over to Siddharthanagar Municipality, Bhairahawa in the presence of Honorable Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel, Deputy Mayor Uma Kafle & the ward representatives of Siddharthanagar Municipality, Bhairahawa. The handing over was done by Sh. GK Negi, CEO Everest Bank.

Everest Bank has been undertaking different welfare activities to preserve cultural heritage of the country as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. In this endeavor, the bank has recently installed garden chair with the objective to provide rest to the visitors.

 

Amid a function, Mr. Someshwor Seth, CEO of Bank hand over those chair to the Venerable Metteyya Sakyaputta, Vice-Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust.

Other distinguished guests present in the occasion were Mr. Surendra Muni Shakya, Treasurer of Trust, and other Officials of the Trust and also local businessmen and Senior Officials of the Bank.
