Everest Bank inaugurates 42nd ATM at Baglung

In order to cater banking needs of large & well spread sections of the society, we have strived to establish our outlets/ATMs in all regions of the country. In this endeavor, we have established our new ATM at Baglung branch on 27/05/2011. The ATM was inaugurated by Mr. Keshab Raj Ghimire, CDO of Baglung district.

Presently Everest Bank Ltd. (EBL) is providing banking services through 124 points viz.  41 branches, 12 collection counters, 42 ATMs, 29 authorized representatives in VDCs through a branchless banking system.

EBL is the pioneer in introducing Branchless Banking (Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking Sewa) and mobile vehicle services. Everest Ghar-Dailo Banking Sewa is a unique delivery channel in banking services to facilitate rural people in banking with the help of sophisticated technology. This branchless service can be used through Point of Transaction (POT) machine by using smart cards. At present, the service is being provided by our Baglung, Bhaktapur, Nepalgunj and Birtamod branches through 29 Business Correspondents. EBL also introduced Mobile Banking (Bank on Wheel) for the first time in Nepal which is in operation since September 2007 at Birtamod. In addition, for providing value added service to customers, EBL has introduced fund transfer facility through mobile for Nepal Telecom subscribers.

Besides, EBL debit card has access to more than 850 ATMs of SCT network in Nepal and more than 4000 ATMs of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in India whereby EBL customers going to India need not to carry cash and can withdraw cash through EBL debit cards from ATMs of PNB. As a part of its expansion strategy EBL plan to open new outlets at some other places of the country. The bank has focused on rural area so that customer of the area can be serviced through modern banking facilities.
